Gibson Custom Shop '59 ES-175D Reissue
2 available from $5,695From the esteemed Memphis factory, the Gibson 1959 ES-175D reissue feels every bit as good as the genuine vintage articles and blooms with exemplary jazzbox tones. No detail went overlooked in recreating this guitar, from the tip of the headstock packed with Kluson tulip tuners to the very base of the zig-zag tailpiece. A pair of Memphis Historic Spec humbuckers nail the sound of original PAF pickups and perfectly transmit the warm, wide sound of this storied hollow body. Available in both Vintage Burst and Natural finishes, the 1959 ES-175D gets the "VOS" treatment to subtly age the guitar and give it the look of a well cared-for instrument from the golden era of Gibson. - 18

The Loar LH-301T
One available for $405In the classic style of the Gibson ES-125T, the LH-301T from The Loar uses a fully hollow thinline body to deliver a resonant open tone that works as a bedroom songwriting acoustic or a full-out gig weapon, thanks to its single P-90 pickup. While it won't do twangy chicken pickin', true funk or metal, this guitar is the perfect partner for fingerstyle blues, simple country, jazz and more. It's a great practice axe and role player. We just love the feel of the hollow thinline body and the look of that sunburst finish. In an age of high gain and increasing complexity in music production, it's refreshing to have a simplified instrument like this available to all. - 27
