C.F. Martin 000-17 Standard (s/n: 3086286)! Guitar comes with Martin Hardshell case!

The Martin 000-17 brings together the warmth and intimacy of an all-mahogany acoustic with the refined construction and effortless playability expected from Martin’s Standard Series. Understated in appearance yet remarkably expressive in the hands, this is a guitar built for players who appreciate woody tone, exceptional responsiveness, and timeless Martin character.

Built around Martin’s comfortable 000 14-fret body, the 000-17 features a solid mahogany top, back, and sides finished in a beautifully restrained Dark Mahogany satin. Mahogany gives this guitar a warm, focused voice with excellent note definition, strong fundamental response, and a natural balance that makes it equally compelling for fingerstyle playing, songwriting, recording, or relaxed accompaniment.

Where the 000-17 becomes particularly special is beneath the surface. Martin incorporates a traditional dovetail neck joint along with 1/4" Golden Era scalloped spruce X-bracing, bringing vintage-inspired construction principles into a wonderfully playable modern instrument. The result is a lively, open response that reacts beautifully to a player's touch while maintaining the dry, woody character that makes an all-mahogany Martin so distinctive.

The 24.9" short scale provides a slightly softer string feel, while Martin's GE Modified Low Oval neck with High-Performance Taper, 1 3/4" bone nut, and ebony fingerboard create a comfortable playing experience from first position through the upper register. An ebony GE Modern Belly bridge, compensated bone saddle, nickel open-gear tuners with butterbean knobs, faux tortoise pickguard, and vintage-inspired diamond-and-square fingerboard inlays complete an instrument that feels purposefully traditional without feeling dated.

At Northeast Music Center, we believe guitars like the Martin 000-17 deserve to be experienced rather than simply viewed as another model number. Its combination of compact dimensions, short-scale comfort, all-mahogany warmth, and Golden Era-inspired construction gives it a personality all its own.

For players searching for an intimate and highly responsive Martin—or for an inspiring companion for writing, recording, and everyday playing—the 000-17 deserves serious consideration. Northeast Music Center is proud to offer Martin guitars to players who value the history, craftsmanship, and individual personality behind these remarkable instruments.
