Epiphone Les Paul Custom Blackback Pro 2014 Antique Ivory Used Very Good Condition (s/n:14021509612)! Guitar comes with Epiphone Hardshell Case!

This 2014 Epiphone Les Paul Custom Blackback PRO has one of those finishes that immediately separates it from the ordinary Les Paul crowd. The Antique Ivory top is paired with a dramatic Ebony/Black back and neck, while gold hardware, multi-ply binding, block fingerboard inlays and the classic split-diamond headstock treatment give it the unmistakable upscale look of a Les Paul Custom.

Even better, this example is in Very Good used condition and comes nicely equipped with an Epiphone hardshell case, LOXX strap locks and a Levi’s guitar strap. At Northeast Music Center, we think the combination of the Blackback treatment, 2014-era ProBucker electronics and included accessories makes this a very cool find for the player looking for something beyond a typical used Les Paul.

The ProBucker 2 and ProBucker 3 humbuckers are an important part of the appeal here. They give the guitar the full, muscular response you expect from a Les Paul-style instrument while the push/pull coil-tapping expands the available sounds beyond a traditional two-humbucker setup. Period specifications confirm this pickup combination and switching arrangement.

The 24.75" scale, set mahogany neck and SlimTaper “D” profile keep the playing experience comfortably familiar, while the rosewood fingerboard, medium-jumbo frets and block inlays complete the classic Custom formula.

Cosmetically, this guitar presents very well for a 2014 instrument. The photographs show normal aging and signs of use, particularly on portions of the gold hardware, which has developed the kind of natural patina you expect on a played instrument of this age. We have therefore represented it conservatively as Very Good condition rather than trying to oversell it.

The Antique Ivory against the black back may be our favorite part. From the front it has the elegant appearance of an aged Ivory Les Paul Custom; turn it over and the gloss-black back and neck completely change its personality. Add the gold hardware and black appointments, and it has a distinctive vintage-inspired appearance that photographs beautifully.

This is exactly the type of interesting used guitar we enjoy finding at Northeast Music Center—recognizable enough to feel immediately familiar, but unusual enough that you aren't likely to see another one hanging next to it. The included Epiphone hardshell case, LOXX strap locks and Levi’s strap make it an especially complete package.
