Pre-owned in excellent condition, this Gibson Custom R8 presents a great opportunity to own a Les Paul of the highest quality for a great price! This LP is finished in a Honey Lemon Fade which looks absolutely fantastic.
This guitar has been well looked after over the last 6 years with only light marks and signs of wear. There is one vey small ding on the top of the headstock as pictured. The frets are in great conditioon with minimal wear as pictured.
This is a great playing Gibson Custom R8 that delivers a great tone from two Custombucker pickups. Comes with original hardshell case and Certificate of Authenticity.
In 1958, Gibson parted ways with the gold finish on the Les Paul Model and introduced the "Les Paul Standard," a refresh that featured a center-seam maple top, red aniline dye back and sides, and a beautiful transparent Cherry Sunburst finish. While only that one color was available originally, exposure to sunlight and subtle variations have made each original example unique in colour. Just like the 1958 originals, the neck profiles on these Historic models are just a bit beefier on average when compared to a 1959 – a comfortable chunky C-shape. Two new updates for 2018 include the inclusion of all True Historic-spec parts and, for the first time, narrow/tall frets which bring the tone and playability closer to the character of the originals.
