The Classic British Rock Engine Reborn: Singing Sustain and Harmonic Bite

The Guitar Sanctuary is incredibly proud to introduce the brand-new VOX VTB-1 Treble Booster Pedal—a meticulously engineered tribute to the definitive British utility pedal that shaped the sound of heavy rock. Inspired directly by the legendary mid-1960s non-bypass circuits favored by icons like Brian May, Eric Clapton, and Tony Iommi, the VTB-1 acts as the ultimate front-end catalyst. Rather than adding harsh, brittle treble, it sculpts and focuses your guitar's midrange while adding a lush, harmonic top-end bloom that coaxes sweet, violin-like sustain out of any tube amplifier.

Precisely Voice Silicon Topology for Vintage Germanium Magic

Original 1960s treble boosters relied on highly volatile Germanium transistors that changed character based on room temperature and aged poorly over time. VOX has completely bypassed these classic reliability issues by engineering a custom, precisely biased **Silicon transistor network**. This layout perfectly mirrors the highly responsive touch-sensitivity, organic compression, and natural overdriven clipping of a legendary vintage Rangemaster circuit, while providing rock-solid stability and an exceptionally low noise floor on modern stage setups.

Unlocking the "Edge-of-Breakup" Magic: Interactive Tone Sculpting

Traditional treble boosters were simple, single-knob devices that offered no secondary tone controls, frequently making thin single-coil pickups sound overly piercing or thick humbuckers sound too boisterous in the low end. The VTB-1 introduces expanded, modern real-world controls designed to integrate perfectly into any guitar and amp combination:

• Booster Gain Control: Adjusts the overall output and drive level. Set it low for a transparent, chimey solo boost, or crank it to aggressively push the preamp tubes of a British-voiced amplifier into thick, saturated harmonic saturation.
• Low Cut Control: An interactive high-pass filter that lets you tightly control how much low-end energy passes into the initial gain stage. Perfect for tightening up muddy humbuckers, dialing in tight rhythm tracks, or tailoring the exact mid-focus response for classic classic rock lead work.

Product Intelligence & Intent Mapping

• Best For: Pushing British-Voiced Tube Amps (AC30, Plexi), Classic British Rock, Glam Rock, Blues-Rock Solos, and High-Definition Studio Tracking.
• Tone Profile: Midrange Focused, Chimey Top-End Bloom, Articulate Overdrive Clipping, Highly Touch-Sensitive.

• Sanctuary Expert Note: "The VTB-1 is the missing link if you're trying to get that classic British classic rock bark out of an amp like an AC30 or a vintage style Marshall. Don't let the name fool you—this isn't an EQ pedal that just turns up your treble. It reshapes your midrange and focuses your signal so your amp breaks up into a singing, harmonically rich overdrive. VOX really nailed the silicon biasing here; it responds to your guitar's volume pot just like a good old Germanium Rangemaster clone, but stays completely quiet and stable on your board."
