The DW Collector's Series represents the pinnacle of American craftsmanship in custom drums. Maple, the most sought-after wood in drum construction, is a hardwood renowned for its ability to deliver unparalleled resonance, projection, and attack. When paired with reinforcement hoops, it yields a sound that is both focused and powerful, making it an ideal choice for both live performances and studio recordings. DW's Specialized Shell Configuration (SSC) is the brainchild of John Good, a revolutionary approach to wood grain orientation that results in drums of extraordinary musicality. With SSC, you'll have access to the full depth of DW's tonal expertise. Their skilled artisans in the California Custom Shop will work with you to handcraft a snare drum that embodies John's legendary shell formulas, ensuring an instrument that exceeds your expectations.
