This is the Taylor Builder's Edition 'Next Generation' 814ce Grand Auditorium! The Next Generation Taylor models feature three stellar additions to classic Taylor guitars; a Long-Tenon Action Control Neck previously only available on Gold Label Collection instruments, scalloped V-Class bracing giving you a warmer low-end and richer open-string resonance, and new Claria electronics! This model features a Sinker Redwood top paired with Honduran Rosewood for the back and sides.

Developed with extensive input from touring artists and live sound engineers, Taylor’s new Claria System reimagines the under-saddle piezo pickup to deliver consistent plug-and-play acoustic tone in any setting. A proprietary preamp tames the harshness of traditional piezos and incorporates soundhole-mounted controls: Volume, Tone and a versatile Mid-Contour knob. The result is consistent, stage- ready tone that’s easy to shape for any setting — from solo café gigs to large-venue performances.

The latest version of the 814ce — a quintessential Taylor model — updates a modern classic, combining the musical versatility of a cutaway Grand Auditorium with the sonic fidelity and full- range voice of Indian rosewood and incorporating our new next-gen features. Scalloped bracing, together with the Action Control Neck, accentuates rosewood’s natural lows, brings more fullness to the mids, and enhances the richness in the top end. New onboard Claria electronics promise a smooth plug-and-play experience in any live setting, plus the ability to further shape your amplified tone with precision and ease.
