The Ibanez SR500N in Midnight Arctic Ocean Matte is part of the long-running SR series, built for players who want a sleek, lightweight, and modern bass that's ready for anything. It's a great fit for working musicians and serious hobbyists who need tone shaping on demand and comfort during long sets or studio sessions. That SR body shape keeps things ergonomic and balanced, and the satin finish on both the body and neck makes it feel quick and unrestrictive.

The Okoume body delivers a bright, punchy tone with good projection, and the roasted maple/walnut neck adds stiffness and tuning stability. A rosewood fingerboard with abalone oval inlays rounds out a solid build, while medium frets give your notes a clear, accurate voice. The Nordstrand Big Break pickups are a standout here-aggressive and full-bodied but still articulate. Paired with Ibanez's 3-band EQ and mid frequency switch, you've got access to everything from clean slap tones to gritty fingerstyle growl.

You also get a passive bypass option if you prefer to keep it simple. The MR5S bridge gives you adjustable string spacing to suit your feel, and tuning is handled by solid Ibanez die-cast tuners. This one's got everything we'd want in a modern bass under the hands. If you're after tonal range, comfort, and consistency, this SR500N gets it done. Case is sold separately.
