Introducing the PRS SE John Mayer Silver Sky in Gold Spark – a limited-edition, small-batch release that captures the essence of John Mayer's iconic tone and style in a stunning, one-off colorway. This exclusive guitar pays homage to the coveted Golden Mesa limited-edition US model, with its shimmering Gold Spark finish that evokes a sense of vintage luxury and rock 'n' roll flair. Complete with a matching truss rod cover for that cohesive, premium aesthetic, this SE version delivers all the beloved specifications of the standard Silver Sky, ensuring unparalleled playability and sonic versatility.
Crafted with a solid poplar body in a glossy Gold Spark finish, the SE Silver Sky features the signature double-cutaway shape for effortless access to higher frets. The bolt-on maple neck boasts a comfortable 635JM profile, a 25.5" scale length, and a 8.5" radius rosewood fingerboard adorned with small bird inlays across 22 frets. A synthetic bone nut measuring 1.625" wide provides smooth string action, while vintage-style non-locking tuners and a 2-point steel tremolo bridge offer reliable stability and expressive vibrato.
Electronically, it's equipped with three PRS 635JM "S" single-coil pickups – one each at the neck, middle, and bridge positions – delivering Mayer's signature glassy cleans, bluesy overdrive, and soaring leads. Controls include a master volume, two tones, and a 5-way blade switch for seamless tonal exploration. Strung with PRS .010-.046 gauges and including a gig bag, this guitar is ready to inspire whether on stage or in the studio.
