Trident B Range channel strips originally from legendary Trident Studios in London circa 1973 with the same discreet Class A mic-preamps and "musical" EQ section from the briefly made A Range, but with a selectable knob better suited for recall instead of a fader for eq. These were in the studio for historically significant recording sessions from Queen, Elton John, David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Judas Priest, Rush. Thin Lizzy, Supertramp, The Boomtown Rats and many more. There is also a Trident Studios service sticker from 1976 on the first channel visible when the rear cover is removed.

Trident Studios famously managed Queen and signed their first recording, publishing and management deal at the very end of 1972, leading to Queen entering the studio with these newly developed state-of-the-art channels.

These original five channels were rescued by POM Audio Design (Owner of the Fairchild brand and manufacturer of the reissue Fairchild 670 compressors) in London and formed into this 5 Channel racked and powered bucket for London-based Grammy winning producer Jimmy Hogarth, whose credits include Amy Winehouse, Sia, Tina Turner, James Bay, James Morrison, Duffy, Tom Grenan and more with this very unit. A serial number plaque on the back of the wooden rack identifies Hogarth as the owner, who since has been recognised by POM as owning one of their new Fairchild units.

This unit then made its way to Dan Hawkins of British rockers The Darkness, who used this to record and mix on the band's records up through Motorheart. The "scribble" tape identifying what each channel was used for on The Darkness' "Motorheart" album is still present on the bottom of each channel. Hawkins then sold the unit to Essex Recording Studios 20 miles east of London, where it was used on recording projects for Angie Brown, Charlotte Awbery, Naomi Banks and others before the studio was decommissioned, with this unit brought to Denmark where it is now for sale to the general public for the first time ever. A signed COA and letter of provenance accompanies this unit.

These channel strips have been making legendary music for British artists, and indeed some of the world's most important artists, in and around London for over half a century. Now this unit and its history can be a part of any studio in the world.
