■8 x SSL-designed Mic/Line inputs
The SSL 18 features eight high-performance SSL-designed mic preamps in switchable mic/line configuration.
Based on the design concept of many previous preamps, it achieves ultra-low noise recording and a wide dynamic range.
You can also switch to Legacy 4K mode to add true analog saturation and the iconic sound of the SSL 4000 series to vocals, drums and more.
Additionally, Line mode completely bypasses the mic preamp stage, making it ideal for connecting external outboard gear.
Inputs 1 and 2 on the front of the unit are also instrument/Hi-Z inputs, allowing you to capture DI'd guitars or vintage synths/drum machines.

The SSL 18 is equipped with ten balanced line-level outputs on the rear panel.
To ensure optimal signal levels and maximize headroom, Line Outputs 1, 2, 3 and 4 can be set between +9 and +24 dBu, providing seamless compatibility with some studio monitors and vintage equipment that operate at lower levels.
Outputs 3-10 operate at +24 dBu, making them ideal for integrating professional outboard equipment.
All outputs are DC coupled, allowing you to send control voltages to synthesizers or modular rigs.
