1954 Gretsch 6022 Rancher in its original "Western" orange finish and with its original Gretsch hard case! First year models are extremely rare and impossible to find for sale, especially with an original case from this period. This is the earliest model with the G body-brand, steer logo on tortoise pick guard, and special Country Western motif inlays not seen on later models. The guitar is in very good condition for being 71 years old and has enjoyed a life in London as a studio recording guitar for session work. It has a piezo pickup fitted and appears to have previously had a double pick guard with possible controls installed to the top before reverting back to its original pick guard. Obviously it has aging and wear to be expected of an instrument of its vintage.
Worldwide shipping to any country. Will be professionally packed and shipped with UPS or FedEx. I am selling off my entire guitar collection, so follow me here and keep an eye out on upcoming listings. Many rare pieces to be found.
