1970s MIJ “Lyle” Les Paul Custom Lawsuit Copy Electric Guitar~Cherry Sunburst~Made in the renowned Matsumoku Japan guitar factory.

Here we have for you a Vintage 1970s “Lyle” Les Paul Custom Style electric guitar; a high-quality lawsuit-era copy of the iconic Gibson model, built in Japan at the renowned Matsumoku factory (Same factory responsible for the iconic early Epiphones, Aria's, etc.). Finished in a vibrant cherry sunburst with gold plated hardware, this instrument offers classic looks, bold n' bluesy tone, and vintage mojo from head to...strap pin.

Features:

• Finish: Cherry sunburst with visible grain and vintage wear
• Neck: Fully bound bolt-on mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard and pearloid block inlays
• Pickups: Dual gold plated covered humbuckers — 2 original MIJ units with strong output
• Controls: 2 Volume / 2 Tone knobs, 3-way selector switch (replaced tip)
• Bridge: Tune-o-matic style with stopbar tailpiece
• Hardware: Gold-plated tuners, pickup covers, jack plate, gold toned speed knobs,
• Weight: Approx. 9.5 lbs (solid and resonant)

*CONDITION:*
This guitar is in great playing condition with signs of honest use. Given a full professional setup by our trusted luthier, Dave Fecca Guitar Repairs of Moorestown, NJ.
The finish shows edge scuffs, and light finish checking — all consistent with its age. The gold plating has patina, and the tuners are original and were recently tightened & lubricated. There is no serial number, typical for Lyle guitars of this period. Also, this was purchased without any case. We will attempt to source an appropriate hard case for her, or a good gig bag!

• Full setup with action dialed in to standard specs
• Adjusted neck angle with new shim in heel pocket
• Fretboard cleaned and polished
• Minor binding repair on mid section of bass bout(glued and sealed)
• Electronics checked, cleaned, lubed and tightened
• Pickup cavities inspected
• Selector switch tip replaced
• Re-glued & adjusted various frets
• Entire guitar wiped down, buffed & polished
• Restrung w new Ernie Ball Super Slinky .009 - .042 gauge strings
