The Vox V847A Classic Reissue Wah Pedal brings the iconic '60s VOX wah sound back with a few smart updates for today's players. Whether you're a gigging guitarist who leans on the wah as part of your phrasing, or a studio player chasing vintage-inspired dynamics, this pedal keeps it classic where it counts and modern where it helps. It's based on the original VOX circuit from the late '60s, but now includes a buffered input jack and AC power capability to better fit modern rigs.

The heart of this pedal is its redesigned inductor, tuned to nail the vocal-like sweep and punch that made the original VOX wah famous. It features a single input and output, a 9V battery or optional AC power for flexibility, and a rugged enclosure that's built for the stage. The buffer preserves your clean tone when the pedal's off, which is especially helpful if you're running a longer cable setup or a more complex board.

It's simple, responsive, and built to last-with a smooth treadle feel that doesn't fight back. Whether you're locking in for a funk groove, adding expression to solos, or just want that tried-and-true sweep, this one delivers. We like this version because it stays true to the original but gives you what you need to keep your tone clean and consistent across your whole chain. Comes with a vinyl carry bag, too, which is a nice touch.
