Fender Custom Shop 62 4-String P-Bass Relic - Fiesta Red

FCS Tweed Case Included | Guitar Weighs 9 lbs

Since 1951, the Fender P-Bass has kept down the low end, capturing the imagination of players and the attention of listeners and truly earning the right to be called an Icon. Decked out in player-favorite 1962 “Slab-board” specs, this Custom Shop re-issue is a stunning example of why the Fender Precision remains among the most popular bass guitars in the world. Finished in show-stopping Fiesta Red lacquer with a matching headstock, this collection topper is convincingly relic’d just enough to look like a treasure from the “Leo Fender” era. A 4-Ply tortoise guard with a beveled edge, AAA hand-selected dark rosewood ‘board, clay dots, and gently aged hardware add to the overall authentic look and feel.

Underneath the '60s “custom color” finish is a vintage contour 2-piece alder body that adds resonance, dimension, and snap to the tone. In the engine room, you’ll find a hum-canceling P-bass pickup, wound to deliver classic early 60s bottom and thump. Players of all styles and experience will appreciate the strong, stable quarter sawn maple neck, with a fast, C-shaped profile and slightly taller-than-vintage 45085 Jescar fret wire.

At 9 lbs. worth of bottom end, this Fender Custom Shop collector's and player's dream comes with a G&G Tweed hard-shell case, strap, accessories, and C.O.A.
