The BOSS PX-1 Plugout FX is a versatile digital effects pedal that brings together recreations of classic BOSS stompboxes in one compact unit. Rather than purchasing and connecting a separate pedal for every effect, you can load different effects into the PX-1 and reconfigure it to use the sound you need.

Introduced in 2025, the PX-1 is designed for guitarists and bassists who appreciate the character of vintage BOSS effects but want the flexibility of a modern, programmable pedal. Its dedicated digital processing recreates the sound and response of individual classic effects, with physical knobs, a display, and footswitch control for hands-on operation.

What makes it different?

The PX-1 is not a conventional multi-effects unit that combines a long chain of effects simultaneously. Instead, it focuses on recreating one classic effect at a time, allowing the pedal to devote its processing power to that effect.

It comes with 16 classic BOSS effect models, and additional models can be purchased and loaded as they become available. This makes the PX-1 something of a collection of classic BOSS pedals inside one reconfigurable enclosure.
