Upon first glance, this guitar appears to be nothing more than a dolled up ES-339 with a figured top and gold hardware. What's inside is much more interesting, and unmistakably Gibson Custom. The CS-356 enjoys the best features of semi-hollow bodies, Les Pauls, and arch-tops in one comfortable package.
ES models like the 335 and 339 are built using laminated poplar and maple, while the CS-356 is made of a solid chambered mahogany body with a beautiful AAA flame maple cap that looks so good it almost looks fake. This provides the sustain of a Les Paul, and the 339 body size prevents excessive feedback noise. Outfitted with a pair of Gibson '57 Classic humbucking pickups, the CS-356 embodies the classic tones you'd expect in a late '50s arch top. This guitar can cover anything from jazz to hard rock, and everything in between.
This is a USED guitar in VERY GOOD condition. The gold hardware looks brand new, and fret wear is almost nonexistent. There are some scratches on the pick guard and on the back of the body, but nothing that penetrates the finish. Comes with original Gibson Custom HSC and Gibson Custom COA. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot us a message, give us a call or stop by any time!
As usual, this guitar has been professionally inspected and setup by our in-house luthiers.
