Godin SD22 Midnight Blue 2007 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Godin SD22 Electric Guitar in Midnight Blue finish. Made in Canada in 2007, this guitar consists of a Silverleaf Maple body, a Rock Maple neck, and a 22-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a Vintage-style tremolo bridge, sealed Godin tuners, Chrome hardware, and a HSS set of Godin pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a 5-way pickup selector. 

The Maple neck of this guitar features a 'C' profile promoting ergonomic thumb positioning and providing a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience whilst the Satin finish to the rear has been buffed to a gloss, and adds a sophisticated playing experience that will suit many styles, feeling articulate, smooth and precise. The sculpted neck heel enhances access to the upper frets, really opening up the full range of the instrument.

The trio of pickups in this guitar are installed in an HSS configuration, with a pair of Godin GS-1 single coils in the neck and middle positions and a Godin GHB1 humbucker in the bridge. The Humbucker in the bridge is nice and hot, delivering a nice crunch and distortion sounds. The pair of Godin GS-1 single coils in the neck and middle provide traditional tonalities, with crystal cleans and crunchy drive tones readily available.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock display light to mild indentations, the most apparent of these are located to the front face edges and to the rear face top edge.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light to mild scratching and wear markings are present to the fingerboard, the most apparent wear marking is located to the 2nd fret whilst the most apparent scratching can be seen to the 7th and 9th frets. Light indentations are present to the rear of the neck across the register, these can be slightly felt in the playing position.

Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching and indentations which can be seen under direct light. the most apparent indentations are located to the lower bout rear face whilst the most apparent scratching can be seen both near these indentations and to the lower bout front face.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. Mild scratching is present to the pick guard consistent with past use and can be seen under direct light. Light to mild tarnishing is present to all aspects of the metal hardware. Tremolo arm included.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
