Teisco ET-460 / Silvertone K4L - Green Burst w/Matching Headstock
Super cool jangly 60s machine! Rarely seen in the green burst - this one is also in uncommonly nice cosmetics shape for its age. This was certainly one of the better Teisco models, being more playable than many - this particular example has seen some keen setup work to make it even more so - with a a much needed neck shim installed, it plays quite well with nice low action. The tremolo feels nice as well, and would be particularly useful for surf stuff.
It has the typical cool looking array of controls ala 60s Japanese guitars, with on-off switches for each pickup, a rhythm switch, and master tone and volume. The tone is wired “reverse” as many Teiscos of the era are.
The guitar is in very nice shape, and truly you’d be hard pressed to find a cleaner example. Everything on it works as it should, and it’s been well kept. The only non-original thing I can see is that the strap pegs have been removed - probably to yield a sleeker look at some point.
It has been freshly setup with D’Addario 10.5-48’s, and is ready to play!
Includes original chipboard case.
