Here for sale we have an Epiphone Les Paul Custom Prophecy Plus in faded Midnight Sapphire finish. Made in 2012 in China this guitar features a set-neck construction consisting of a Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard. A pair of Active EMG humbucking pickups are fitted. An Active EMG 85 is fitted in the neck and an Active EMG 81 is fitted in the bridge. These are wired to a 3-way pickup selector and independent volume and tone controls.

The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, whilst providing a smooth and articulate playing experience across the register. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and with its 14” radius provides a smooth and durable playing surface for the user to explore. The familiar lines of the body feel great in the arms, ensuring comfort in both standing and seated positions. 

The pair of EMG humbucking pickups installed in this instrument deliver an impressive range of tones. The neck pickup delivers a thick and full-bodied tone, perfect for lead lines and solos thanks to a powerful output. The bridge is of course brighter, cutting easily through the mix when driving the amp.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the front face edges of the headstock, these are most apparent to the top treble side edges. Light scratching is present to the front face which can only be seen under direct light, as is common with gloss finishes.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light scratching and indentations are present to the rear of the neck across the register, the most apparent indentation can be seen and felt at the 1st fret. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck has been lightly polished to a Gloss finish through regular past use. Mild wear marking is present to the fingerboard, these can be seen at 4th and 6th frets and can not be felt in the playing position.

Body: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are scattered throughout the rear face, these can only be seen under direct light and have not exposed the wood beneath the finish. Another light indentation can be seen to the bass side edge near the waist cutaway, this has not exposed the wood beneath. All aspects of the body display scratching and indentations. The original Blue colour to the body has faded to a Grey appearance.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Very light denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. Light tarnishing of the finish is present to the bridge saddles, this is consistent with past use in a high contact area. The tuners, although they appear to be stock, have been fitted at an angle, visible from the front and the back. 

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
