Here for sale we have a Washburn J3-TS Cutaway Archtop Electric Guitar in Tobacco Sunburst finish. Built in 2008, this guitar features a fully hollow Laminated Maple body, a 20 fret Maple neck, and a Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Rosewood bridge, a Florentine cutaway, Grover machine heads, along with a pair of humbuckers, wired to dual volume & tone controls and a 3-way toggle switch.

The Maple neck plays well, with a very slightly flattened ‘C’ shape profile for excellent thumb positioning. The gloss finish feels very smooth and gratifying to touch under the thumb. The Rosewood fretboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface. The Florentine cutaway gives great access to the upper register and the fully hollow construction makes for a very responsive and dynamic guitar to play.

The Humbucking pickups in this guitar offer a full, thick tone, plenty of warmth and roundness is present in the neck position. The middle position sounds punchy, with driving mids along with crisp and clear highs making for a nice blend of the two pickups. The bridge position provides open sustain and broad harmonic clarity, making chords sound crystalline and clear. The wiring gives plenty of versatility without any complicated switching.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition, a small scratch can be identified to the bass side edge of the front face near the D string tuning post. A small chip revealing the wood beneath is apparent to the top treble side front corner.

Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard.

Body: Overall excellent condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate very light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. the most notable of these can be identified next to the jack socket.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of use.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
