Traveler V88X Vaibrant 88 Deluxe - Hot Pink

Here is a Mint NOS - un-played V88X Viabrant Custom (not to be confused with the Standard V88S which is made with different cheaper components). Shipped to you as when New. Was originally purchased for a Studio that never happened (purchased New from Sweetwater and stored). Comes from a smoke-free, pet-free, Sunlight shielded, climate controlled, and air quality filtered home Studio. The Trem arm is in the Gig Bad pockets.

When purchasing New guitars I go to Sweetwater first because they: 1) Show the weight of each Guitar, 2) Provide multiple pictures of the actual guitar instead of using "Stock" photos, 3) Provide the S/N for each Guitar, 4) Sweetwater constantly provides excellent Q/A and Setup on New Guitars.

My 1st selection criteria is the woodgrain pattern, the Fretboard material, and then the weight. So on this one it had my preference of Maple Fretboard and I found the one with the woodgrain on the Fretboard that I liked most and that had the lowest weight. For my hand, this Neck & Fretboard fit well and feel great.

Note:

1) Those familiar looking pyramid Fretboard markers (purposely upside down) are actually In-Lays - NOT cheapie stickers.

2) One of the pictures mis-states the Scale as 24.75" - That is wrong. The Scale is 25.5".

The V88X is obviously Traveler's take on Steve Vai's JEM777 (only available 1987-89 in Shocking Pink and now astronomically through the roof $$$). A number who have reviewed the V88X remarked that they have an original JEM777 as well as the V88X and find that in playing and Tone they compare very closely, with the V88X additionally being great for practice and travel. One reviewer, who has years of experience as a Guitar Tech, commented that the 1000 Floyd Rose used on this guitar has the advantage of being more stable over time instead of wearing out as the knife edge "Special" Floyd Rose do.

Traditional construction elements

While some extra bulk may have been removed from the Vaibrant 88 Deluxe, what remains is a traditionally crafted solidbody guitar that feels great. The body is crafted from alder, which is a popular tonewood for its sound and general light weight. The maple neck bolts to the body in the classic manner with the addition of a comfortable neck heel contour. And to top it all off, Traveler Guitar installed a Floyd Rose 1000FRT vibrato bridge/tailpiece to give you reliable pitch expression with rock-solid intonation.
