Jayson's Unicorn Studio is not a commercial business venture. As an individual I am selling personally owned equipment purchased with private funds.
- In many cases items are NOS (New Old Stock) and these new items are truly Unicorns in that they are no longer in production but are brand new, so they provide a unique opportunity to time-travel back and make a purchase of an item that would otherwise no longer be available in as new condition.
Items fall into 2 basic categories:
1) - Many of items are NOS: These items were purchased New to equip a Studio that, after being delay'd, never happened (life happens), so these items have been stored brand new since purchase.
- In most cases if an item is rated as "Excellent" (Reverb recently eliminated Mint, and I'm not an authorized Dealer, so Excellent is as high as I can rate things) it is actually brand new/never used and was only opened and plugged-in to be tested when originally received to ensure it is in perfect working order and also to take pictures for posting. If an item is not NOS, or truly Mint, I'll mention any imperfections or picture them so you can understand how it earned it's Excellent rating.
- All Guitars shown graded as Mint have never seen a plectrum and are pristine head-to-toe, front-to-back. If there are any "cosmetics" they are spelt-out and/or pictured.
2) - Items in Excellent or Very Good condition: These items were carefully used and treated with respect. In the case of Pedals they may have been auditioned in Smoke/Pet-free Studio on a padded desktop and only hand operated - never having been stomped on, the exception being "Very Good" units that may have seen some limited board use with any wear shown in the provided pictures. In most cases the "Excellent" equipment only differs from Mint due to very minor cosmetics (like a Pedal having a clean bottom that is partially faded indicating where dual-lock had once been, or missing a piece of the original "case candy" or enclosures) but otherwise should continue to function properly and be valuable for many years to come. Most of these items show little to no signs of use and are fully functional "work as they should". Full descriptions spell-out how these items differ from being "Mint" if they do.
