Gibson ES-225 1955-59 - Sunburst
Only made for a handful of years, the ES-225 was a transitional guitar with it’s extended trapeze tailpiece, centered P-90 pickup location and Florentine cutaway. This particular ES-225 does not have a visible FON or SN, so we are not sure of the exact year, it has had a traumatic headstock break that was repaired in not the most aesthetic way, yet is fully functional and play is not inhibited at all. The headstock also has one of the wings sheared off and as bad as it looks, all tuning machines are functional and the guitar plays wonderfully. The P-90 is one of the hottest we have heard with a big chimey sound. This came in with its original chipboard case that is in worst shape than the headstock.
