Back in September of 1966 Shure released the SM58 Dynamic Vocal Microphone and to this day it remains the industry standard for vocal performances. Why? Because this microphone is the swiss army knife of microphones! Its unbreakable construction, unbeatable sound quality, and wide range of uses make it perfect for any recording or live sound performance.
Unbeatable Sound Quality
The secret to this pristine, crisp, and warm sounding microphone is its tailored frequency response, built-in spherical wind and pop filter, and cardioid pickup pattern. The 50Hz-50kHz frequency response and cardioid pattern make the signal more direct and cut out the unnecessary low-end frequencies while boosting the mid-range frequencies creating unbeatable sound quality.
Wide Range of Uses
Used to create stunning vocal tracks on everything from metal to pop, the Shure SM58 has been regarded in the audio industry as one of the most versatile microphones out, even winning awards for this! Not only is it great on vocals, it can be used on a wide variety of instruments and still provide a clean, warm sound every time!
Unbreakable Construction
The Shure SM58 is made with legendary Shure quality construction to ensure that it can withstand brutal abuse on-stage, off-stage, and more! Drop it, freeze it, drown it in water, burry this microphone for a year, and it will still maintain its sound quality.
