Here for sale we have a modified Fender American Stratocaster Electric Guitar in Black finish, which has been converted from trem bridge to hard tail. Made in the USA in 2005, this guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a 2-Point American Series Synchronized Tremolo bridge, upgraded Fender locking tuners, and a set of upgraded HH Seymour Duncan Humbuckers. The wiring has also been upgraded to accommodate the new pickup configuration  with a bridge volume, neck volume, master tone (push/pull coil split), and a three-way pickup selector. 

The Maple neck plays very well, with the Modern ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers. The Satin finish to the rear feels smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface, with the 9.5" radius working in conjunction with the Medium Jumbo frets to produce a rock solid playing surface which is practical for string bending, vibrato techniques and complex chord voicings alike. 

The Seymour Duncan pickups installed in this guitar deliver huge screaming tones that project a deep bass and punchy mids, as well as a searing bright treble to help you cut through the mix. The neck pickup produces a thick, rounded sound tone with plenty of power for your solos and lead lines. The bridge pickup is of course brighter, and with a higher output drives the front end of an amp into a beautifully saturated distortion. The simple control layout offers comprehensive control of your tone without being intrusive to the playing experience. The addition of the coil split adds the versatility of single-coil style sounds, making this guitar ready for wherever the gig takes you.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to all aspects of the headstock, the most apparent of these can be seen to the bass side edge near the low E tuning machine and to the front face towards the top edge.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light scratching is present to the rear of the neck across the register, these can only be seen under direct light and can not be felt in the playing position. Very light indentations are present to the fingerboard in the early register, these can only be seen under close scrutiny and can not be felt in the playing position. Light delamination of the lacquer finish can be seen to the higher register of the fingerboard, these have not broken the finish.

Body: Overall very good condition. A light lacquer crack is present to the bass side of the neck pocket, this has been tested and present no structural concerns, with this light marker pen residue is also present to the lacquer crack, this can only be seen under direct light. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching visible only under direct light, the most prominent of these can be seen to the bass side of the pickguard and to the lower bout rear face. Light indentations are present to the treble side lower bout edge, these have pierced the lacquer finish but do not expose the wood beneath.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register.  There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/8" hex) included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. Mild markings are present to the bridge plate most apparent near the trem arm hole. The original pickguard and knobs have been previously replaced, the original parts are not included. A set of fender locking tuning machines have been installed replacing the original tuning machines. Tremolo arm not included. The bridge has been 'decked' by the previous owner turning it into a hardtail bridge using all five springs, flight case style foam, and glue in the trem arm socket to prevent a trem arm from being mistakenly screwed in. To use this guitar with a trem arm again, the sustain block would need replacing.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm

Electrics: Fully functional. A previous owner has replaced the pickups and electronics, a pair of Seymour Duncan pickups are installed along with a bridge volume, neck volume and a master tone with a push/pull coil split, the original pickups are not included.

Case & Accessories

Fender hard case.

Overall very good condition and fully functional. Light to mild markings are present to the exterior of the case. The lining on the accessory lid to the interior has lightly peeled away.

Original Fender paperwork included.
