ITEM DESCRIPTION: Up for sale is a fully functional 1986 Marshall JCM 800 Lead Series Model 2205 50-Watt tube guitar amplifier head. This amp is in good cosmetic condition for a 40+ year old head, and it rocks like an 80s JCM800 should rock. Somebody replaced the output transformer with a new one in 2002. Power transformer and choke are mid-80s. These JCM 800 amplifiers are quickly becoming collectable and the Model 2205 is a curious beast: solid gain channel, very useable clean tones, and an understated reverb that adds just enough texture to feel its presence without being overly noticeable. This amp is in good preowned condition and does what it should, though it does have signs of previous use with scuffs and small rips in the tolex.
