The Akai Professional MPC Renaissance combines the hands-on workflow of classic MPC hardware with computer-based MPC production software. It features 16 velocity- and pressure-sensitive MPC pads, 16 Q-Link rotary controls, a large adjustable backlit display, dedicated transport and sequencing controls, and extensive audio and MIDI connectivity.

It also functions as a full audio/MIDI interface with microphone, line and phono inputs, multiple outputs, S/PDIF, MIDI I/O and an integrated USB hub, making it a substantial studio production centerpiece rather than simply a pad controller.

Condition:

Very good overall preowned condition with normal cosmetic wear from use and age.

The controller has been basically tested and no functional issues were noted. It powers on normally, the display operates, and the controls tested are responding properly.

Cosmetic details visible in the photos include:

• Direct Mon knob cap is missing, but the control itself functions normally.
• Main Volume knob cap is missing, but the control itself functions normally.
• Q2 Q-Link knob is missing its silver top cap, but the knob itself remains installed and functions normally.
• The padded front wrist rest shows visible surface wear, primarily toward the edges and corners. The material remains intact and is not ripped or peeling away.
• Light surface scratches and normal age-related marks are visible on the display lens and portions of the chassis.
• Remaining pads, buttons, Q-Link knobs, transport controls and connections appear complete and in good physical condition.

Q: Is this a standalone MPC?
A: No. The MPC Renaissance is designed to operate with compatible MPC software on a computer. It is not a standalone sampler like newer MPC Live, One or X models.

Q: Do the missing knobs affect operation?
A: No known functional issue was found. The Direct Mon and Main Volume controls remain functional despite their missing outer knob caps, and the Q2 control also functions normally despite its missing top cap.

Q: Is the power adapter included?
A: Yes. A compatible DC power adapter is included.

Q: Is MPC software included?
A: No software license or activation code is included. The buyer will need to arrange compatible MPC software and computer setup separately.

Q: Has it been fully studio-tested?
A: It received a basic operational test and no functional problems were noted. It has not been tested through every possible audio, MIDI and software configuration.
