The Gibson Historic Reissues from 2000–2003 will always hold a special place in the Historic Collection. It’s no coincidence that some models from those years even featured a reissue of Rio-Boards. The selection of mahogany during this period was also outstanding: despite its solid mahogany body and neck, this very well-preserved 1959 Reissue weighs only 3.96 kg. Combined with the beautiful AAA bird’s-eye maple top, the faded Cherry Sunburst finish, the Gibson ABR-1, and the Classic ’57 humbuckers, the result is a perfectly harmonious reissue of the most famous guitar production year of all time.

Of course, after all these years, the guitar shows some signs of wear, but it has neither cracks nor repairs.

The guitar comes in its original case, including the key. Since Gibson did not introduce the “Certificate of Authenticity” until 2001, this guitar does not yet have a certificate.
