Overview

  • The 1959 Les Paul Reissue was one of the first models produced by the Gibson Historic division in 1993. It featured a mahogany body with a figured maple top, 57 Classic Humbuckers, and a Vintage '59 neck profile with a rosewood fretboard. It was also available with a plain maple top during this period. An Anniversary model was also produced at this time.
  • It was produced in Heritage Cherry Sunburst and Heritage Darkburst, among other limited run finishes.
  • In 2003 Gibson Custom Historic updated the pickups to Burstbuckers.
