About this listing
Vintage Marshall Class 5, 5-Watt 1x10 Guitar Tube Amp ComboHand-built in England, UKDescription: The Marshall Class 5 was made in the United Kingdom from 2009 to 2012. It's a 5-watt, all-tube amplifier designed to deliver the legendary, cranked Marshal "Plexi" and "Bluesbreaker" tones at volumes suitable for recording, rehearsals, and home practice. It features a stripped-down, top-loaded control panel and authentic valve saturation. Tone: Often described as a "baby Plexi," the Class 5 is known for its pure, unadulterated analog character. It produces rich, harmonically complex tube overdrive and responds incredibly well to your guitar's volume and tone controls. While it starts with sparkling cleans, cranking the volume rewards you with a full-bodied, aggressive crunch.Condition: This amp is in fantastic condition. Looks, plays and sounds awesome! Rare Color: Most Class 5's came in black. A few, however, like this one, came in white tolex. It looks killer and will stand out from all those other amps in black boxes. Accessories: Comes with power cable, original Marshall cover and original users manual.Features and Specs:Type: 1x10" guitar tube amp comboPower output: 5 WattsAmplifier topology: All tube, Class APreamp tubes: Two ECC83 (12AX7)Output tubes: One EL84Controls: Volume, treble, mid, bassChannels: oneOther: Extension speaker out, headphone jackSpeakers and Cabinet:Cabinet design: Open-backSpeakers: One 10" CelestionCabinet construction: Baltic Birch plywoodSize and Weight:Dimensions: 19.5 x 16.25 x 9 inchesWeight: 26 lbsAbout Del Mar Lutherie: We’re a small shop in San Diego County, California. We build custom electric guitars and vintage style hand-wired tube amps. We also buy and sell vintage and used gear. Our owner is a guitar enthusiast, wood worker and professional engineer by training. We’re part of the local guitar community (Fender, Taylor, Carvin/Kiesel).Why buy from us? Our clients have peace of mind knowing they’re buying from a highly rated professional shop. We've been doing this type of work since 1999 and have thousands of happy customers. We pride ourselves in providing best-in-class personalized service for each client. We are a Reverb Preferred Seller, and our approval rating is close to 100%.Condition Ratings: We rate each amp’s condition using guidelines outlined by Reverb. Please refer to that section of Reverb to better understand what each condition means.Videos: We often provide YouTube links to provide our clients with more information. These videos will be of a similar make and model which is representative of the amp in our listing. Standard of Care: We strive to meet our clients’ expectations, and we want you to be happy with your purchase. However, please keep in mind that amps get nicks and dents when used, and cosmetic wear is normal. If you want an amp in “perfect” or “flawless” condition, we advise you to buy new from an authorized dealer or buy locally so you can inspect it in person. Also, please keep in mind that our Dr. T’s Tone Factory brand amps are hand-built one at a time, not mass-produced in an ISO 9000 factory. Our hand-built amps may have artifacts that some people might view as flaws. We do not guarantee that our amplifiers will be cosmetically flawless, and we don’t accept returns or give partial refunds due to cosmetic imperfections. The amp you will get is the one in the photos and described in the listing. If you have questions or concerns, please ask before agreeing to buy.Shipping and Returns: This amp will be expensive to ship. We prefer local pickup, but are willing to ship for the fee shown. Please make sure you understand what this amp is and are committed to it before you agree to purchase. Please read the listing, review photos, and ask questions if in doubt. We will not be able to offer a free return if you change your mind. We generally will accept a return in special circumstances, but expect the buyer pay shipping (both ways) and a restocking fee to cover our time. For this amp, that will be expensive if you change your mind.Local Pickup: We offer free pickup at our shop in San Diego County. If you’re close, consider paying us a visit.Delivery Time: We do our best to get your amp boxed and shipped as soon as possible. However, sometimes this can take a few days depending on our workload and other factors. Once UPS receives your amp, they will estimate a delivery date, which you can access via Reverb. UPS will typically deliver your amp within 2 to 7 business days after they receive it, depending on your distance from Southern California.Damage Claims: Although rare, amps sometimes are damaged during shipping. If you receive an amp that is damaged, please let us know immediately so we can open a claim.Trades: We are a professional guitar business. Anything we take on trade, we resell. Due to shipping costs and transaction fees, we only do trades in person. To make sense for us, we can only offer wholesale value, which is typically 40% to 60% of what it would sell for on Reverb. This is usually as good or better than Guitar Center. If you’re OK with this, please send current photos of the actual gear you have for trade. We need brand, model, year, and condition. Note any mods, repairs or other issues. If your guitar includes a hard case or gig bag, send photos of that as well.
