The SD935 is an alternative name for the SD493 (as released in Japan), but the specifications are identical.
This Yamaha SD-935(493) is a legendary 14" × 3.5" seamless brass piccolo snare drum produced in Japan from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s. Revered as a "Holy Grail" snare, it delivers crisp, bright projection and is highly sought after by collectors and players alike.
Features: 14" × 3.5" seamless brass shell, known for articulate attack and strong volume.
Hardware: Features Yamaha's die-cast-like, aluminum "Power Hoops" and solid bronze lugs.
Snare System: utilizes a sensitive internal snare system where wires extend across the entire diameter of the head.
Famous for being a staple in the setups of legendary drummers like Dave Weckl, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Steve Gadd.
The snare mechanism on the snare drum functions as it should, with no issues whatsoever. The top hoop has some wear and tear, please see images and ask any questions before purchasing, as I do not accept returns.
