Vintage Teisco Tulip Guitar – Custom "Junk to Punk" Mod

This vintage Teisco Tulip guitar was custom modified as part of my Junk to Punk series, where I restore and upgrade overlooked vintage instruments while preserving their character.

Upgrades

• P-90 pickup
• Roller bridge
• Guyker tremolo system
• The rest of the guitar remains original

The body has been refinished with a water-based polyurethane. This finish is softer than many traditional finishes, so it can mark more easily. Since this is already a relic-style vintage guitar, normal wear fits its character, but I still recommend treating it with care. I do not recommend storing it on a leather guitar stand for extended periods, as the finish may react with the leather and leave marks.

Despite its age, this guitar is surprisingly stable, stays in tune well, and is very comfortable to play. It has the unique look and vibe of a vintage Teisco, combined with modern hardware that makes it a much more enjoyable instrument.
