1971/1972 Fender Musicmaster Bass - Rosewood/Dakota Red All Original
All-original 1971 Fender Musicmaster Bass in its original factory red finish, complete with the original Fender hardshell case.
I purchased from Willie's American Guitars in Minneapolis in 2010.
I replaced the bridge with a Wilkinson 4 Saddle (original bridge and mounting screws are included)
I replaced the pickguard, electronics, and pickups (Dimarzio Hotrails) but the original pickguard with original electronics and pick up are included (and untouched). FYI, these shipped stock with Stratocaster/Duo-Sonic 6 pole pick ups covered with a pickup cover with no holes (pictured, and included)
Serial Number: 3300xx (4-bolt neck plate dates to late 1971 / early 1972)
Electronics: 100% original wiring harness. CTS potentiometers date to the 16th week of 1971, and it features the original grey-bottom pickup.
Pickguard: G Rodriguez Fender factory inspection stamp on the underside.
Hardware: Original 2-saddle bridge with threaded steel saddles, original control plate, black barrel knobs, and open-gear tuners.
Scale / Neck: 30" short-scale maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Comfortable, fast player.
Case: Original Fender hardshell case with orange-red lining.
Condition:
The bass is in excellent vintage shape for a 50+ year-old instrument. The body shows light wear and minor edge marks expected from a well-loved vintage Fender.
