Up for sale we have a 1987 Fender AVRI ‘62 Stratocaster in Blond finish with gold hardware and original tweed hardshell case. Made in the USA. Sale includes the guitar, tweed case, trem arm, case keys, 2X uninstalled trem springs, original polish cloth, bridge cover, 5-way pickup selector switch (new/uninstalled) and Fender pamphlet.

Offered here is a beautifully crafted 1987 American Vintage Reissue (AVRI) 1962 Stratocaster, one of the earliest and most desirable examples from Fender’s acclaimed AVRI series. Built in Corona, CA during the resurgence of Fender’s U.S. production in the mid-1980s, these early AVRIs are widely regarded for their exceptional build quality, vintage-correct appointments, and outstanding playability.

This particular example is in all-original, excellent but lightly used condition. The body shows light cosmetic wear with some strum wear/small scratches on the pickguard and a handful of surface scuffs and scratches scattered sparsely throughout the body (almost all of which allocated to the backside). Aside from that, there are two areas on the bottom edge of the body that have turned a darker yellow color due to a reaction with a guitar stand (see last photo). The neck is in excellent clean condition showing virtually no visible play wear outside of some very minor fret wear on the first three frets. Overall, this is a fantastic playing and sounding instrument that has been very well cared for over the years. Set-up with 10-46 round wound string, low action and ready to go.
