JBL PRX412M 12" Two-Way Stage Monitor and Loudspeaker System

The PRX412M is a compact, lightweight reference monitor and full-range speaker engineered for home studios, project rooms, and mobile recording setups. At 35 lbs with a footprint of 22.6" x 13.9" x 15.7", it delivers serious monitoring capability without consuming valuable floor space, fitting seamlessly into desktop arrays, rack-mounted configurations, or positioned as a nearfield/midfield reference alongside your primary monitors.

Recording & Mix Reference Performance

This two-way system pairs a 12" woofer with a 1" polymer diaphragm compression driver to achieve a 95 dB SPL sensitivity (1W@1m) and a rated maximum output of 126 dB SPL peak. The 90° x 50° coverage pattern provides consistent, controlled off-axis response ideal for seated monitoring positions, while the frequency response of 62Hz–19kHz (±3dB) and full range down to 50Hz (–10dB) captures the complete spectrum from deep kick and bass through vocal presence and high-frequency detail without masking or coloration.

Enclosure & Driver Protection

The PRX412M employs a birch/poplar multi-laminate hardwood enclosure finished in tough DuraFlex™ for durability in demanding session environments. A 16-gauge protective steel grille backed with acoustically transparent cloth guards the drivers, while SonicGuard™ high-frequency driver protection safeguards the tweeter from clipping peaks and hot signals without degrading transparency. Dual-angle pole sockets and twelve M10 suspension points constructed from 14-gauge steel enable flexible placement—floor stands, wall mounting, or integration into custom studio rigs.
