Selling my trusty Ibanez RG7620 Gray Nickel 7-string guitar – made in Fuji-gen Plant, Japan in 2000, Production Number: 32362

Built during the golden era of FujiGen production, the RG7620 was one of the first seven-string RG series models offered by Ibanez along with its fixed bridge sibling, the RG7621. The only previous Ibanez seven strings were part of Steve Vai's signature Universe series.

Condition:

This guitar is in very good condition overall. There are small dings in the finish, mostly around the body edges, consistent with regular use over the past 26 years. The included photos capture the wear as much as possible; note that as the camera moves back, the dings seem to disappear (this is consistent with how it looks in person).

The guitar has been thoroughly cleaned and given a full setup. The frets are in excellent condition, freshly polished, with no playing issues. Electronics all deoxed and working properly. Strung with 10–46 Rotosound and a 56 Elixir Nanoweb on the 7th string, tuned to E-standard with drop-A.

Modifications:

• Stock pickups changed to DiMarzio Blaze Custom 7 (bridge) and Air Norton 7 (neck)
• 3-way blade pickup selector (bridge / both pickups / neck), replacing the original factory 5-way selector. No modifications to the body were required for this change, and the original 5-way configuration can be restored if desired.
• 3-way mini-toggle independently selects series, parallel, or single-coil operation for the neck pickup, providing additional tonal options in the neck and middle selector positions.
• Schaller strap locks installed
