This is a great players grade 1971 SG Standard in the very uncommon ebony finish! The instrument has had a neck repair long ago but it was done well, feels smooth and is solid.
Most of the wear on this instrument is cosmetic and consistent with it's age and playtime. Lots of paint scuffs and buckle rash on the rear of the body. The frets are flattened a bit but still even going up the neck and the instrument plays well with lots of life left. All the hardware looks original, Maestro tailpiece, tuning machines, etc..the pickups are original Gibson Patent Humbuckers and the pots date to 1971.( see photos ) The guitar comes with the 70's SG purple interior square case seen in photos.
