Sometimes we see instruments that are heavily worn, and once we play it, we realize why...they've been played hard because they're great instruments. This USA-made 1985 Peavey Foundation bass is a prime example of this. It sounds great!
As you can see, it's got pretty heavy cosmetic wear...it's definitely a stage veteran. However the frets are fine, and it plays very nicely. The passive Super Ferrite pickups are fat and growly, and the controls get good tonal variation with just pickup volume changes. The control knobs are not original. Unlike a lot of these old Peavey basses (especially these ash-bodied models), the weight is very reasonable at 8.27 lbs. The molded Peavey case is mostly intact, but the thin internal foam is missing, which is very common.
If you're looking for a badass rock bass, this is a good one!
