Nechville Phantom (with Hoffee Case)

This is a 2012 Nechville Phantom banjo. I'm the second owner and got it in like-new condition last year. The original owner had it custom made directly from Nechville, but he barely played it and kept inside in a case in his home, out of the heat and cold. I really like this banjo and it sounds good - it's easy to customize the sound and change out the head, tone ring, bearings, resonator, etc. to get the sound you like.

The neck and resonator are curly maple, the fretboard is rosewood (it looks like cocobolo), and it has a mahogany block style rim (it also comes with the original 3-ply maple rim). It has a powerful sound and strong sustain.

7-12" compound radius fingerboard, tunneled 5th string, professional 20 hole nickel-plated bronze alloy tone ring, J.D. Crowe bridge spacing, compensated bridge, and it comes with 2 Nechville Heli-Mount Wrenches to adjust the head. It has a new renaissance head and new strings set up and ready to be played.

It ships with a custom Hoffee Carbon case that was made for this banjo last year. The case has some scruff marks (see photos) but it is a quality case and worth money without the banjo..
