DESCRIPTION
The AM93QA delivers the soulful warmth of a semi-hollow in a sleek, compact format perfect for players transitioning from solid-body guitars. Originally introduced in the early 1980s, the AM body style has become a cornerstone of the Ibanez Artcore line—prized for its punchy tone, long sustain, and approachable size.
This model is part of the Artcore Expressionist series, a collection renowned for combining traditional jazz sensibilities with modern versatility. At the heart of this tonal powerhouse are the acclaimed Super 58 pickups—famous for their warm, articulate voice and dynamic range. Favored by legends like George Benson, Pat Metheny, and John Scofield, these pickups deliver vintage character that adapts seamlessly to jazz, blues, rock, and more.
The 3pc Nyatoh/Maple neck enhances resonance and adds depth to your sound, while the Macassar Ebony fretboard contributes to tight low-end response and quick attack, perfect for articulate solos and rhythmic clarity. Medium frets allow precise intonation and smooth playability across the fingerboard.
Visually stunning with a Quilted Ash top, back, and sides, the AM93QA offers not only tonal brightness and sustain, but also a luxurious, boutique aesthetic. The Gibraltar Performer bridge ensures tuning stability and optimal transfer of string vibration, and the Quik Change III tailpiece streamlines the restringing process—ideal for both studio and stage use.
Elegant and expressive, the AM93QA is a versatile semi-hollow electric guitar built to inspire.
