The Fehr of Zurich is a high end recorder manufactory. Considered to be a step up from Kung recorders.

These famous recorders from Switzerland have for many years set an international standard for quality of wood, workmanship, and performance, and have been used by many fine professional players such as Hans-Martin Linde and Clas Pehrsson in their recordings and public performance. Model 2 series are known for tone quality, registral balance, and blowing resistance. Model 3 is a step up in the whole line. They feature exceptionally easy response in the high and low register and outstanding projection. The hardwood models in particular are usually - first choice for public performance of solo literature and hold their own in ensemble with modern wind, string, and keyboard instruments much better than most other recorders.

The well-known original Model III pearwood instruments are now unfortunately no longer available. 

This recorder has been fully serviced, cleaned up and the block - inspected with the mild white vinegar solution applied. The whole recorder has been treated with the sweet almond oil. It needs nothing and is totally ready for performance!

The sound is quite mellow, super responsive to vibrato, with the woody notes - perfect intonation.
