1994 Fender Japan Jaguar (JG66-RC) – Shoreline Gold, MIJ, Limited, Offset, FujiGen

Up for consideration is this clean, all-original 1994 Fender Japan Jaguar (JG66-RC). An extremely rare example—one of approximately 120 ever produced—it is finished in stunning Shoreline Gold with a matching headstock and dark rosewood fretboard. Widely regarded as one of the most visually striking offset models ever produced by Fender Japan, this guitar is as collectible as it is beautiful.

Built at the FujiGen factory as part of a very limited 1994-only run, this model represents one of Fender Japan’s earliest and most collectible takes on the classic ‘62 reissue Jaguar.

Built to vintage-correct specifications, it features a 7.25" radius rosewood fingerboard, a comfortable "C"-profile neck, and vintage-style frets. The original Japanese Jaguar pickups deliver the unmistakable Jaguar voice—articulate, clear, and chimey, with a rich low end and smooth, bell-like top-end. As expected from a FujiGen-built Fender, the craftsmanship is exceptional, easily rivalling American-made instruments of the era.

Condition-wise, this example has been superbly preserved, exhibiting only light signs of use, including a few surface marks and a small dent at the tip of the headstock face (pictured). There is also some finish chipping around the neck pocket—a common cosmetic characteristic of Fender finishes—which has no impact on the guitar's structural integrity or playability. The finish has aged beautifully, and there are no breaks, repairs, or modifications.

The frets remain in excellent condition, and all electronics are original and function exactly as they should. 

Highly collectible and increasingly difficult to source — even in Japan — these Shoreline Gold Jaguar hold a special place among Fender Japan’s most desirable limited-run instruments.
