This is the earlier iteration of the Bud-Wah built from 1998 to 2003 and features a black front label. It is fully functional and overall in solid condition.
These Budda Wahs really have a great, classic tone reminesant of the late 60s Hendrix / Clapton recordings. It's hard to describe but there is a 'clarity' to the tone of these that is missing in other Wah pedals. Where other pedals sound nasilly or hissy, these sound more voice like. The frequencies sound more warm and natural and less mechanical. Maybe the handmade custom inductor the Budda's have is the key. Has spent it's life with me covered on a shelf for the most part. I'm more of a pedal collector than pedal player most of the time - and this one is special!!
