Taylor / 2014 812e 12Fret
This guitar, while a compact Grand Concert shape that fits comfortably against the body, delivers a rich, enveloping resonance that belies its delicate appearance.
It's a masterpiece that brilliantly overturns the conventional notion that small guitars have a light sound from the very first chord.
The biggest secret to this amazing sound lies in the traditional 12-fret joint construction, where the neck is joined to the body at the 12th fret.
Compared to the more common 14-fret joint, the bridge is positioned closer to the center of the body top, where it vibrates most efficiently.
This allows the high-quality Sitka spruce top wood to move dynamically like a drumhead, producing a thick, warm mid-low range despite the small body size.
The classical slotted headstock creates a unique, moderate string tension, resulting in a rich, full tone that doesn't thin out even in the high register.
Fretting with the left hand is incredibly smooth, and it responds very delicately to even the slightest touch and nuances of dynamics.
In terms of appearance, the elegant design, featuring a high-quality rosewood pickguard and beautiful maple binding, is a luxurious use of natural wood, making it a beautiful addition to any interior even when not being played.
Furthermore, equipped with Taylor's high-performance ES2 pickup, it functions as a reliable partner for future ventures such as live performances, recording, or video streaming, allowing you to output the natural, acoustic sound as it is.
Why not welcome this guitar, which perfectly blends a deep resonance with modern playability, as your lifelong partner?
