Gibson Les Paul Studio VG 2013 - Fireburst
The Les Paul Studio VG is a rare finish. "VG" stands for "vintage gloss." It's a thin nitro finish that's not quite satin, but has a softer, smoother feel than full gloss, and wears quicker than full gloss, as you can see in the photos of the guitar's edges. The surface quality feels like a much older instrument. Badass.
Local pickup in Orlando only. I will not ship this guitar.
Another unique feature of this model is the maple neck. This doesn't feel different from a mahogany neck to me. Slim 60's neck profile that we all know and love.
This guitar still has all stock hardware, including Gibson '57 Classic with coil-splits, (push-pull volume knobs).
Aside from the natural wear of a very well-loved instrument with a thin nitro finish, here's some notes on cosmetic condition, (as shown in photos):
The toggle switch tip is a bit cracked, but I never notice it when playing, and never felt the need to replace it. Same deal with the plastic around the input jack.
The bottom strap button is slightly bent, but holds a strap just fine.
The 12th fret inlay was slightly coming up a bit, so I used Stew Mac's glue & applicator to glue it back down. There's a little bit of glue around that fret marker if you're looking for it.
