Here is a very rare Fender Japan ST65-TX Stratocaster in factory finished Gunmetal Red with matching headstock. It’s a real Fender Japan freak, the kind of thing we love here at GSG! Who knows why they made this? But I’m glad they did, as it is a pretty cool guitar with a finish I've only ever seen used on the Japanese Jaguar JGS HH Special before. We’ve researched it and it is 100% genuine, they were actually from a very limited run back in 2007 (it’s an MIJ T-Serial), we’re not sure how many were built, but it wasn’t many, this is the only one we have had and we’ve been specialising in rare Fender Japan models for years. Anyway, it’s a ’65 reissue with a beautiful dark streaked Indian rosewood fingerboard and vintage 7.25" radius fingerboard. It has 3 x superb sounding factory USA Texas Special single coil pickups. It has a wonderful solid feel due to the Fender Japan build and a fantastic tone courtesy of the Texas Specials. It has a 3-ply black pickguard, al black plastics and Fender stamped saddles. It is still all factory spec with no mods or repairs. Neck dead straight and truss rod is fine. The frets showing some pitting but plenty of life left in them. Considering the rarity and value of this one it would be well worth the investment of a re-fret down the line. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. Weight 3.5kg. No big paint chips but there are plenty of minor nicks and scuffs etc, so not mint. Nothing serious has ever happened to this guitar. It’s ageing well and along the road to being a real vintage beauty. It looks cool and like all the rarer Fender Japan models will prove a real investment if that’s your thing. It is of course complete with trem-arm & Stratocaster tweed style hardcase with key. A great chance to pick up this rare beauty.
