What is the KORG MIKU STOMP?

The KORG MIKU STOMP is a unique guitar effects pedal released by Korg in October 2014. It tracks your guitar notes and instantly changes them into the singing voice of the famous virtual idol, Hatsune Miku. Although it is no longer produced, it remains a famous cult-classic item worldwide.

Key Features and Specifications

• Vocal Technology: It uses Yamaha’s "NSX-1" sound chip to create real-time Hatsune Miku vocals based on your guitar pitch.
• 11 Lyric Modes: You can select different vocal sounds, such as standard vowel sounds ("Ah"), cat sounds ("Nyan"), random phrases, or pre-saved lyrics from the hit Japanese song "Senbonzakura."
• Custom Lyrics: You can type your own Japanese lyrics (using Hiragana or Katakana) into a special iPhone app and upload them to the pedal.
• Single Notes Only: This pedal is monophonic. It only recognizes one note at a time, so you cannot play guitar chords.

Tips and Challenges for Playing

This pedal has a strong personality and requires special techniques to play correctly:

Slight Audio Delay: There is a tiny delay (latency) between plucking the guitar string and hearing the voice. Players need to pick slightly ahead of the beat.

Strict Accuracy Required: The pedal is very sensitive. Inexact picking, string bends (choking), or heavy vibrato can cause the voice to glitch or skip.

Great for Noise and "Wild" Sounds: While difficult to use for standard music, many guitarists love it as a "secret weapon." Mixing it with heavy fuzz or distortion pedals creates unique, chaotic synthesizer-like sounds.

Item Condition: Excellent / Near Mint

• Main Unit: This pedal is in near-unused condition. It shows only minor surface scratches and very light signs of use, but it is very clean overall.
• Box and Manual: The original box and manual are included. Both show minor shelf wear and light signs of use.
• Operation: Tested and working perfectly.
