Gibson Custom Shop M2M Les Paul 1954 Reissue “R4” Green Lemon Fade + 1959 neck

Wow - this one is special! Available now is this 2021 Gibson USA Custom Shop Les Paul Standard, 1954 reissue or “R4”. This guitar is from Gibson’s made to measure (M2M) program which lets the buyer handpick the specifications. This one has been fitted with the most beautiful top I think I’ve ever seen on a Les Paul, and that is not me exaggerating. It’s super super flamed and really 3D, you have to see it in person to appreciate it fully but the pictures give a good idea of what it’s like!

This guitar was made bespoke and bought new from Coda Music in Stevenage in 2021, and has only been lightly used at home since, never going out of the house.

Spec wise, you get a solid mahogany back with a carved maple top and this guitar has got the custom ‘59 “Carmelita” neck profile. If you don’t know Carmelita, she is a well known original 1959 Gibson Les Paul that Gibson took scans from to offer the identical neck profile on custom shop M2M guitars, and it feels absolutely incredible to play. It’s also the lightest non-chambered Les Paul I’ve played, coming in at only 7lbs 10oz (3.46kg), and this combined with the neck makes it absolutely killer to play.

It’s fitted with 2 custom soapbar P-90s that look and sound incredible, Kluson deluxe aged tulip tuners, mother of pearl trapezoid inlays and a wraparound bridge/tailpiece for historic accuracy. 2 volume, 2 tone and 3 way switching as normal.

Has been recently professionally setup and plays like a dream, action on low E 1.8mm and high e 1.3mm. Comes complete with original hard case and all papers and COA, as shown in photos.
