This throw off came off of a snare drum that I bought in 1977. It was made by the company that is now known as Tama

Short history lesson, a Japanese man named Matsujiro Hoshino began as a retailer in 1908. Through multiple changes in his business the company began manufacturing Star drums in 1962. In 1974 the name Tama is established for Hoshino's line of drums. Hoshino now manufactures only the Tama drum line through its Hoshino Gakki Hanbai and Hoshino Gakki Manufacturing subsidiaries.

Enough nerding out. The throw off works as it should and it show typical wear from over 50 years of use. It does need lubrication. However, I thought I'd leave that to the buyer to prevent possible damage to packaging.

If you have any questions please feel free to message me.

I only ship 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday.
